Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale was an American pro basketball player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before she was selected as the 5th overall pick by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She is the daughter of Yolanda Ogunbowale as well as Gregory Ogunbowale. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was selected for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first year of collegiate play. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after taking several shots of a high quality at the NCCA Tournament. Though she's still only a freshman Ogunbowale has already made herself a top basketball player and is certain to continue on her path.
